The Day of Lists

The Day of Lists

Ah, Jonathan was right! This blog has the ability to just grow and grow in the sneakiest of ways! Like mushrooms! I mean it becomes like a juggling act between doing and writing. The doing comes more naturally and happens faster, leading the writing to lag and become a thing that happens more in the head than on the blog. Until one fine day you have a gigantic list of the writings that need to urgently be completed while the doings keep prodding you and saying, ‘hey focus on us, focus on us’. So, today will be the day of …

Experiment # 1: I capture the desert

I haven’t concretely written down my project proposal yet, but brainstorming and some research has yielded the following answers about what I am seem to be seeking: I want to build simultaneous narratives to explore the ‘slice of life’ story of an absent protagonist. I want my art to reflect the ‘stream of consciousness’ or ongoing story in the inner mind’. So yes, onwards to Skype Session 6! Date: Tuesday, Nov 7th 2017 Guest Speakers: Donald Takguy and Terry Quinn Both of these artists were UAL alumni. We started the session off by meeting Donald, who began the MA as a filmmaker and during the MA focused on making simple abstract films. The idea behind these films would …

Skype Session 1 Recap

First of all, because of the three rules Jonathan laid out: No worries over grammatical errors Anyone can type/talk at any time, regardless of whether the conversation has moved past a topic Anyone replying to a specific comment should mention that person’s name And second of all, because Skype saves chats! So it didn’t matter if the conversation moved too fast, or you were lingering on one topic while other spoke on a different one because you could always …
