Date: 13th June, 2018 with Gareth Polmeer This was a tutorial we had in the summer. At that time the research question that occurred me was “What is art”, of course that is an immensely vast topic but it was a starting point. Here are the notes of the tutorial:

Tutorial 3
Thanks to three month long summer vacations in Jeddah, the rhythm of my blog was completely thrown off. I ended up writing blogposts in my head on planes, while running after kids, in meetings and even while painting! But never got a chance to actually post them here. I did write down all the topics I want to write about, though, so that I don’t accidentally miss out a blogpost. Here’s another reason why I haven’t returned too frequently to the blog of late. I am officially freaked out by the upcoming end of Unit 1. Random, frightened thoughts are …
Skype Session 18 recap! and the research paper email
The term began again last week, and may I just say, it began with a bang. The research paper was upon us! So last week’s Skype session Jonathan walked us through a document he would email later about what the research paper is and how to tackle it. I’m just adding the document here so I can access it easily later. research paper EXTENDED briefing with examples There was a lot of information, and I think I will digest it overtime. I like to think in steps because it helps me avoid getting overwhelmed by the magnitude of what is …
Post-MPR reflections

Sharing my art and the thought processes behind it, succinctly I might add, was simply nerve-wrecking, and after the MPR was over I felt spent. There was a bout of demotivation that was very unsettling. Previously we had only ever assessed our actions and thoughts out loud during one-on-one tutorials and that hadn’t been scary because we were talking to our advisor. And Jonathan has this way of making you feel like everything you’re …

Lol [13/03/2018, 11:45:03] VIVIAN / 林梓欣: quite fast but can capture the flow [13/03/2018, 11:45:06] Nadine Theuma: Kehkashan Your work is embedded in history and craft. I particularly like the fact that you are giving your work a three dimensional space . Taking it a step further and maybe using algorithms to create the ‘mosaic’ would also be interesting. [13/03/2018, 11:45:15] Iris Wong: I slow it down when I watched ytd lol [13/03/2018, 11:45:33] …
