About me

Visual artist and storyteller, Kehkashan dedicates her time to connecting people through art. She has organized community projects alongside NGOs in Pakistan such as The Orange Tree Foundation, The Garage School, Special Olympics Pakistan etc, to inspire the underprivileged to paint stories of their struggles and aspirations and reached out to the community at large to celebrate the telling of these stories in public art exhibitions. Her current projects include Artisans of Love (a collection of mini-documentaries from celebrated artists in Jeddah) and The Untold Edition (bringing together the community of Karachi to build a narrative of the city).

Kehkashan has developed a unique style of art incorporating mosaic techniques true to her muslim heritage with more contemporary techniques such as acrylic pours to create assemblages. She uses objects to blur the line between 2D and 3D to engage her audience in the stories encapsulated in her work. The digital age and the ongoing dialogue between art and the audience is of particular significance to her and her recent work delves into 2.5D animation. Her most recent exhibits include Hybrid and Impromptu in London, as well as The Other Story Project–Illustrated in Jeddah.

Now completing her Masters in Fine Arts from the University of the Arts London, she hopes to continue building and communicating the narrative she lives.
